These grilled figs will go very well with roast meat or smoked ham among others...
Serves 2 as a side dish
4 ripe figs
feta cheese
1 teasp olive oil
1teasp lemon juice
1teasp honey
4 half walnuts
pinch of rosemary
Heat up the grill of your oven.
Finely chop the walnuts and roast them dry in a frying pan. Reserve.
Crush the rosemary with a pestle and mortar. Reserve.
Cut the figs in half. Make small whole with a teaspoon to make a nest, and add a piece of feta cheese. Mix the olive oil, lemon juice and honey, and drizzle some over each half fig and cheese. Sprinkle with rosemary.
Grill in the oven until it gets melty. Take out, sprinkle with walnuts and serve warm.
